Make This Your Mantra:

…..ala the clever, engaging, witty, insightful Karen Karbo in “Julia Child Rules; Lessons on Savoring Life”

in her first chapter “Live With Abandon,” Karbo gets right to the matter–of the moment, the day, the year’s plans:

Make this your mantra:

“I’m never too anything for anything.”

Fill in the blanks with your own personal anything, and grant yourself permission to fly float in own unique heart-felt and heart-led ways!  Enjoy!

Luck Factor and How Your Natural Spirit Can Wake-Up

Assisting your Luck from the inside out is a wonderful model espoused by the ancient Stoics.

I took a short course from Philip Golabuk of the Philosophy Center’s Fate Project, and am reviewing its essential breakdown, which I give here as the simplest of phrases, each quality can be enjoyed as a lifetime pursuit and development!

The Well-Ordered Soul

Truthfulness is at the heart of the well-ordered soul.

Showing Up (not hiding and taking your chances).

Innocence (we know so little!, so be teachable).

Diligence (each of us is presented with things which are only ours to do, conscientiously and to the best of our ability).

Dialogue calls us to humbly open ourselves to outside-ourselves discovery, as well as being intimate with the inner voice of clarity and truth, which the Greeks defined simply as happiness, as good spirit.

Our Fate corresponds to our character, so “get lucky” and enjoy your day!!! with light, Cherilyn

Mick ‘n’ Me Heaven

Sometimes a girl just needs a little bit of Mick gazing over her head, and then return to her studio and bring out “Seven Steps To Heaven” (©CherilynSunRidge, 16″x16,” Acrylic) for all essential grounding and consciousness converging!

Portland Art Museum offers 250 Warhol prints for viewers’ consumption and delight, until the end of the year.  I was blown away–color, form, personal statement, poetry, generous–ah, Andy.  Wonderful.

Internal Steps & External Steps

Find your internal geography and walk it, love it, applaud it.  Carry on to your edges and find your external geography and walk it, love it, applaud it.  “Seven Steps To Heaven” and
“Wind River Portal” offer scenes of contemplation for daily centering, grounding, and visioning.  You are invited and exquisitely able to grab one single ‘handle’ to navigate your day, helping you to conduct your thoughts and affairs with a bright, joyful, and expectant attitude.  Whatever your source of inspiration, whatever stirs your soul to life, use it and be grateful for its potency!

Morning Mantra & Morning Thoughts & Prompts

Each morning we come into our next, and in the best of worlds, we ease in cloaked with bright anticipation.

Several decades ago when I came into a focused spiritual practice, I noticed more awareness of my First Morning Thought.

I learned to respect that singular First, not the string or thread which follows. For me, the dreamtime workings were often revealed at the moment of crossing over the dawn-veil. Delicious heart-stuff!

Today’s prompt is to aware yourself of that news meant just for you, the color or word or concept or form or quality, which you can use throughout the day. There are so many connections in our perspectives, that using this Morning Mantra impresses into your perspective a fresh insight. It may turn out to be more important than it appeared at first blink.

One of the canvases in process in my studio is “Aperture,” which is building on one such morning vision which came with its own encyclopedic concept, which is being whittled down into one 30″ canvas. I know one Aperture canvas will beget another!
