Gazing on my treasured bone collection, I see a soft light green patina has grown. They used to be stark white, bleached by the San Juan Mountain air and intense sunlight. I often work with a “memory palette,” yet last month’s work exhibits a new flavor, a new vision, one of moss and damp and slow quiet growth. I like this.
What pulls and pushes your palette? Do we actually choose, or do we actually get pulled by a beckoning overall ambiance?
